Nadhiya Moidu who stunned the Malayalam film industry with her unique acting style in 1984 within two years became a top star there. Her debut in Tamil was in 1985 in the classic family drama 'Poove Poochoodava' directed by Fazil which also had the legendary Padmini as her grandmother.

There was no looking back for Nadhiya as she went on to rule the Tamil industry as the most sought after leading lady in spite of her strict no to glamorous characters. She has costarred with all the big heroes of the era Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Mohan and Suresh.

Nadiya bid adieu to cinema after her marriage to Shirish Godbole in 1998 and concentrated on raising her two children both girls. In 2004 Nadhiya made a comeback in the powerful role of a single mother in Jayam Ravi's 'M. Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi' and has continued to do character roles in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil and is pretty busy even these days.

Nadhiya has shared a photo in which Khushbu and yesteryear Bollywood heroine Poonam Dillon are seen when they visited her house. She captioned the pic "Good times with my 80's Bonding Friends". Fans have been nothing short of stunned by the youthful look of Nadhiya which she has retained after so many years and the comments section is flooded with congratulatory messages.
