Tamil Nadu has been reeling by the mysterious death of a class 12 student from Kallakurichi on July 13th in her school premises that has resulted in widespread violence in the area. Family and relatives have been protesting demanding the arrest of the school management for their negligence and also allege foul play.

There is apprehension among the public that not a single star from the Kollywood film industry has voiced support for the deceased girl Srimathi. In this situation, actress Priya Bhavani Shankar has posted on her Twitter page that she wants justice for Srimathi. Netizens and fans are praising the busy actress for being the only Tamil actress speaking about the issue boldly.

PBS as she is fondly called by her fans is known to voice her support for social causes and never shied away. She was formerly a television journalist and newsreader and is also proficient in Tamil language. Her upcoming movies include 'Thiruchitrambalam ', 'Agilan', 'Bommai', 'Rudhran', 'Pathu Thala', 'Indian 2', and 'Kuruthi Aattam'.
