Ace director B.Gopal has teamed up with latest action star Prabhas for his next lavish extravaganza Aadavi Ramudu, slated for release on May 21 and definitely one of the much-awaited releases this summer.
"We discussed a lot before finalizing the title since we didn't want to re-use the title of legendary NTR's  film just for the sake of it", reveals the new hunk who is now looking forward to this forest adventure to cement his position as the new angry young man. With his last release Varsham grossing over Rs. 20 crore, even the trade is showing lot of interest in this `actioner'.
Gopal, who delivered five hits in a row with superstar Balakrishna and record-breaking hit Indra with Chiranjeevi, is adept in dishing out star-centric movies. "We have packaged it as a wholesome entertainer with love and action holding the interest", says the maker who has again spent lavishly by shooting a major part in forests and canned well-mounted songs. With a supportive producer in Chanti, he even postponed the release twice to get the right DTS mix to elevate the mood of the hero.
Aarti Agarwal, once a sought-after glam girl, provides the love interest and will be hoping to regain her position with this violent love story.
"We didn't want to compromise since we made up our mind as soon as we heard the script", explains producer Chanti who traded the film for a good price after a tough bargain to cover his investments. The producer has unleashed a publicity blitz in both medias and created a hype around his film, since a hit is long overdue even for his Friendly Movies banner.
The posters suggest that Gopal has rehashed his decade-old blockbuster Bobbili Raja, which was a love story, set in forest backdrop turning into a vengeful drama, with Illayaraja's compositions making it a huge hit.
Will this film revive the winning habit of Gopal after a disaster like Palnati Brahmanaidu and strengthen the newfound stardom of Prabhas? The market alone will tell.
