Adivi Sesh's 'Major' acquires this hefty amount for its television rights

Ever since its announcement, fans throughout the country are waiting for the release of Adivi Sesh's film 'Major'. Based of the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, 'Major' was scheduled to release this week. However, the pandemic caused it to delay indefinitely. Several other films have taken the digital route for release as theatres remain closed but makers of 'Major' are certain that the film premiere on silver screen only.
The television distribution rights for Hindi version of the film have been acquired by Sony TV for a hefty amount of 10 crore INR. Although, the film is a Telugu production, it carries a pan-Indian appeal due to the nationwide popularity of Major Sandeep and actor Adivi Sesh.
'Major' is a passion project for Adivi who considers Major Unnikrishnan a role model. The posters and teser of the film have released to positive response from fans and critics.
