Aha and Applause Entertainment (of 'Scam 1992' fame) have collaborated to produce a biopic of Late PV Narasimha Rao, who as India's Prime Minister in the early 1990s changed the economic fate of India. The web series is created and directed by acclaimed Bollywood filmmaker Prakash Jha.

On Tuesday, a teaser-like intro was given about the biopic. It will be a pan-India web series, to be streamed in multiple languages, including Hindi. The series will go on the floors soon. It will stream on Aha from 2023.

A video was released to describe PVNR as the most uncelebrated PM of India. The series is based on the non-fiction book 'Half-Lion' written by Vinay Sitapati. Prakash Jha is in full form, having recently created the web series 'Aashram' (Hindi).

Speaking on the occasion, Jha said that Allu Aravind is a talented producer. "I am also a fan of his son (Allu Arjun), who is a great actor," Jha said, adding that we are a product of the five years of PVNR's regime.

The biopic marks Aha's big-ticket entry into the pan-India OTT sphere.
