Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was recently seen in a grey role in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan: I'. The former beauty queen is in the news a day after her daughter Aaradhya turned 11.

On Aaradhya's birthday, Aishwarya posted a picture that piqued many Netizens. The mother is seen kissing her daughter in it. "My love...My life. I love you my Aaradhya," the 'Robot' actress wrote.

In the opinion of many Netizens, kissing a pre-teen daughter on the lips is not done. "Kissing on a child's lips is just weird." This is the sum and substance of what trolls are saying. They are lamenting that it's inappropriate to do so for any parent.

This is not the first time that such a reaction has been elicited. Many Indians see a lip kiss as too inappropriate to the cultural sensibilities of India. That said, everything depends on the maturity level of the kid. "Only Aishwarya would know what her daughter can be and can't be given," wrote a Facebook user.
