Aishwarya Rajesh boards Mani Ratnams next

Mani Ratnam after delivering the kickass action entertainer 'Chekka Chivantha Vaanam' is currently in pre-production of his dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan' reportedly starring Vikram, Simbu, Jayam Ravi, Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rai with fresh round of talks on with Thalapathy Vijay to play the parallel lead.

In the meantime, Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies is bankrolling a new movie to be directed by his associate Danasekhar that has G.V. Prakash playing the hero. It is now reported that Aishwarya Rajesh has signed on to play the hero's sister character which is pivotal to the screenplay.
