Last year, it was suggested by some reports that Ajay Devgan is finally going to collaborate with YRF. Aditya Chopra roles him for a part in a superhero flick directed by Shiv Rawail. The project was supposed to be one of the highlights of YRF celebrating 50 years in the Bollywood film industry. The project was supposed to be really expensive with 90 crore INR alloted for the production itself. This excluded any promotional expenses and actors' fees.

The film was supposed to be a launch pad for Ananya Pandey's cousin Ahaan Pandey with Ajay portraying the main antagonist. The latest buzz suggests that Ajay has walked away from the project. A source close to the development revealed, "Ajay had never signed on the dotted line. He had a powerful role, too. But now, it seems he doesn't have dates to allot to the project. Adi doesn't want to push the film any further since Ahaan also has been waiting for a few years now. They were still trying to chalk out a plan that could work out both for the superstar and the banner but at this point, it seems improbable."

Ajay has around half a dozen films lined up. These include 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'RRR', 'Maidaan', 'Mayday' and several others. Apart from these, he's also set to make his digital debut with 'Rudra'.
