Akhil Akkineni is now 2 million strong on Twitter.  He hit the landmark figure on Saturday when his follower count technically showed the big figure.  With this, he becomes one of the most-followed Telugu industry celebs on the micro-blogging network.  After all, his being active on it has paid off.

As is known, he currently has two projects in his kitty.  The film with Venky Atluri, produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra LLP, was launched recently.  Its regular shooting will begin from May.  It will have music by SS Thaman.  George C Williams, who cranked the camera for 'Tholi Prema', will work on the film.  

The other film will be helmed by Ram Gopal Varma.  "The Akhil film am making is a very highly intense and extremely realistic action film and not at all a young cute love story..it’s a very hard love story at its core but emotionally packaged with a very high degree of sensitive violence mixed with tremendous love," Varma recently said.
