Akhil Akkineni`s debut film Akhil has opened to mixed response on Diwali. However, the first day collections of Akhil registered fantastic numbers at the box office. Directed by VV Vinayak the film has raked in Rs 9.80 crores on day 1. The numbers are expected to go up on the second day due to holiday season in Telugu states.
