The makers of ‘Sholay 3D’, Jayantilal Gada and Sippy brothers had recently kept a special screening for the family of late Mr. Amjad Khan, who played the pivotal role of Gabbar Singh, in the iconic film.

His son, Shadaab Khan, who had come for the special screening with his wife, was asked about what he thinks of Ram Gopal Varma, who had directed the remake of ‘Sholay’ (Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag). To this, Shadaab Khan reacted by saying that he felt positive vibrations as he was going to watch ‘Sholay 3D’ and he did not want to talk about negative people at such a good time.

He felt that making remakes of cult films is fine but they should be made with some kind of respect for the people who were a part of the original. Stated Shadaab Khan, "There is only one issue that I have with Ram Gopal Varma, if he is making a remake of an iconic film like Sholay, the least he could do was make a good film respecting the people who were a part of the original film."
