Warangal girl Anandhi of 'Bus Stop' fame, who went on to act in entertainers like 'Priyathama Neevachata Kushalama' in Telugu and a couple of Tamil hits, has been roped in to play Pawan Kalyan's sister in the film to be produced by AM Ratnam.

A remake of Ajith's blockbuster 'Vedalam', this is to be directed by RT Neason of 'Jilla' fame with Power Star reprising the lead role played by Ajith.

The hero's younger sister character had a vital role in 'Vedalam' and it was played with full conviction by Lakshmi Menon.

The makers are considering a few leading heroines to play the female lead character played by Shruti Haasan in the original.

SS Thaman will be rendering the musical score for this film.
