As we all know . Thala Ajith's blockbuster 'Vedalam' will be remade in Telugu by producer AM Ratnam. The remake will be directed by RT Neason of 'Jilla' fame with Pawan Kalyan reprising the lead role played by Ajith.

The hero's younger sister character had a vital role in 'Vedalam' and it was played with full conviction by Lakshmi Menon. Now we learn that the Telugu version will have Anandi in this powerful character. Anandi has acted as the female lead in 'Kayal', 'Trisha Illana Nayanthara', 'Enakku Innoru Per Irukku' and 'Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru'.

The makers are considering a few leading heroines to play the female lead character played by Shruti Haasan in the original.

S.S.Thaman will be rendering the musical score for this film.
