Anna University's important announcement for students in light of Chennai rains

The torrential downpour that Chennai has been experiencing since last evening has created transportation hassles. Stagnant water flooding roads has made transport almost impossible in certain areas while only the Metro rail functions .
Holidays have been announced in 6 districts, including Chennai for schools and colleges.
In response to student's request , Anna University have postponed the today's scheduled semester examinations to a later date. It is expected that the rescheduled dates will be announced shortly according to the Controller of Examinations.
In addition to this state's revenue department have also advises holidays to private companies in Chennai keeping in mind the Chennai rains.
