Aparna Nair has landed a meaty role in in the movie 'Thamara', in which she plays the title role. The role is that of a fisher woman and the movie deals with the delicate subject of environment preservation. It is also all about environment preservation. "Clean River" is the rallying point that is being depicted through the movie.

The movie is expected to release soon. A slew of movies featuring environmental related themes are in the offing. There is a Fahadh Fassil starrer 'Nale' and Anil radhakrishna Menon's 'Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi'. 'Thamara' is different in the sense that it has a eco-feminism mould.
