Director A.R.Murugadoss has gained immense respect among fans for delivering social messages through his commercial blockbuster films. His 2014 blockbuster 'Kaththi' starring Ilayathalapathy Vijay spoke about the plight of farmers and also the serious ill effects caused by Coco Cola and Pepsi factories in Tamil Nadu,

Now in the wake of protest for Jallikattu the calls to ban the soft drinks produced by the above mentioned companies has taken the center stage. A few traders associations and many trading establishments have announced that they have stopped the sale of Pepsi and Coke products. Lakhs and lakhs of youngsters have also vowed to stop consuming the products.

Now director Murugadoss has announced that he has stopped drinking Pepsi or Coke since three years that is exactly when he started writing the script for 'Kaththi'. He also revealed that now the products of these two MNCs have been banned in his shooting spot to.

The maverick director is presently busy shooting for the Tamil-Telugu bilingual starring Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
