It is almost certain that ace director Mani Ratnam will be teaming up with leading Tollywood star Ram Charan Teja for his next after 'Kaatru Veliyidai' which is scheduled to hit the screens in April 2017.

When we reported this prospect as early as September 2016, (READ: Breaking ! One more Superstar son to act in Maniratnam's next) certain sections of media denied it as a mere rumor immediately. But now Mani and Ram Charan teaming up is inching towards realty and an official announcement is expected soon.

Now the latest we learn about this project is that charming actor Arvind Swamy who was introduced by Mani Ratnam in his 1991 super hit 'Thalapathy' and went on to act in the director's ''Roja', 'Bombay', 'Alaipayuthey' and 'Kadal' has been roped in to play an important role in this film too. A source close to the director has confirmed the inclusion of the 'Bogan' actor in Mani's next. The shooting of the film is expected to commence in August 2017.

Arvind Swamy has earlier acted with Ram Charan in the Telugu blockbuster 'Dhruva' which is the remake of 'Thani Oruvan'.
