Director Atlee, who is known for his blockbuster movies like Raja Rani, Theri, Mersal etc had last directed the Vijay, Nayanthara starrer Bigil which was released last Diwali and became a huge success commercially.

It was said that Atlee will be making his Bollywood debut next and will be directing Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan in his next movie. There were reports that this movie will be named Sanki and was supposed to be announced last year.

Amidst reports that Shahrukh Khan has given his nod to act in a movie directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and that he has opted out of Atlee movie, now it has been revealed that Shahrukh Khan will act in both Atlee and Rajkumar Hirani movies which will be shot simultaneously after lockdown. It has been said that the announcement on both these movies will be made on Shahrukh Khan's birthday, November 2.
