Ayodhya Review

Let's get this straight: The only thing interesting about this mighty bore is the title Ayodhya. It has resonance, history, intrigue, drama ---- something which the film does not even get near to.

It is difficult to sit through such punishments (only hapless reviewers have to). The story, if you can call that, is about Justice Ramprasad (Krishna) who brings up his brother's son Rajesh (Naveen).

The latter is a self-righteous youngster and he is stirred up when he comes to know that his father had sired an illegitimate child. Meanwhile, Ramprasad has trouble from the gangster JK.

The story is about how Rajesh ends up meeting his half sister (Prema) and how the villains are sent to the cleaners.

The acting is unfashionably old and every actor in frame hams as if it his birth right. Prema cuts a fine picture.

The music is jarring and totally unoriginal.

Koti Ramakrishna's direction is only in the title cards.
