The eminent pop singer Baba Sehgal (of the famous Aja Meri Gadi Mein Bait Jaa…) appeared for a song number and also rendered the song in his voice for ‘Puneeth’ that has story, screenplay, dialogues and direction by Neelkamal.

On a remuneration of Rs.6 lakhs Baba Sehgal took part in the shoot of a song at Innovative Film City near Bidadi for two days. The song "College Collejalli Ondhu Hudugi Nodiddhu Yaake…" was the song sung in rap style by Baba Sehgal. The buxom beauty Neethu took part in the song number with Baba Sehgal. Kabir Raj has scored music for the songs.

Ananth Urs of ‘Honganasu and Jugari’ fame handles the camera. Dilip Pai, Nishe Shetty, Bhavya, Ramakrishna are in the cast. Manjunath and HN Kumar are the producers of ‘Puneeth’.
