In the two releases of the week - `Bagyadha Balegara' the heroine played by Navya Nair dies as she is fed the poison in the milk and in `Prem Kahani' the protagonist Ajay in sick mind consumes the poison to end his life. In Bagyadha Balegara the protagonist Shivarajakumar takes the heroine in his arms but in `Prem Kahani' the heroine Sheela spits on the face of the protagonist Ajay for committing suicide.

The Bangles culture in the rural Karnataka is still alive and for every occasion the new bangles are brought. The one who brings the bangles to the door step is Balegara Channaya (Shivarajakumar) in the film. He is with his ancestor's profession of selling bangles and known for telling the fortunes. After fitting the bangles to the arms Channayya predicts the future that is always correct. Such a wanted and affectionate person in the village Channayya is bowled over by the beauty of Cheluvi (Navya Nair). He fits the bangles even to her but never looks at the fortunes of her. This is where he goes wrong. Cheluvi also in love with Channayya is decisive in her thoughts. But her brother Javara (Mico Shivu) goes for a rich alliance. After the engagement Cheluvi marriage is broken and taking advantage of this Channayya's step mother hatch a plot to make Rs.10 lakhs for her kitty. In the too difficult situations for Cheluvi and Channayya the tragedy strikes for Cheluvi in the house of Channayya absence.

Om Saiprakash known for tear jerker stories on Kannada screen has made audiences to pick handkerchiefs with series of tragedies on the screen.

Shivarajakumar is known as `Raja' in emotional acting. He gathers attention for his cool and composed performance. Navya Nair an actress with good range looks very pretty and done her job neatly. Doddanna and Sadhu Kokila comedy does not jell with the flow of the film. Shoba Raghavendra screaming disturb the nerves.

The two folk songs already popular - title song Bagyadha balegara Hogi Baa Thavarige..and Ghallu Gallenutha...in the presence of top actresses Anu Prabhakar and Sudharani respectively is attractive. The song Nannanne Noduvanu..is melodious in the remaining six songs!

MR Seenu camera work is not up to the mark as he has not made use of the natural light properly. Sounder Raj editing deserved to be better.

Scoring 6/10
