Samuthirakani’s ‘Naadodigal’ has had a grand opening and is heaping laurels from all quarters. Since its release, the success story has spread all over and the response has been phenomenal in all centers. The hard work has paid off and the team truly deserves a pat on their back.

Behind the scenes, the movie’s second half was shot for a time frame of 2 hours 44 mins, initially. Later on the director, Samuthirakani, himself spent days and even nights, editing and cutting the scenes and eventually shrunk it to 1 hour 25 mins. Now the director’s only concern is that the movie should be spared from further cuts or edits. So he has sent a letter to all the theatre operators requesting them not to do.

Director K. Balachandar turned very emotional after the screening of the movie. Mr.Balachandar, with whom Samuthirakani had worked as an assistant before, was very concerned about Naadodigal’s reception with the audience, as this is one man who takes pride in seeing his prodege's succeed and wishes them well. In fact he said that he spent several sleepless nights worried about the movie's acceptance. But after the movie’s success, his fears were put to rest and he added to say that he can at last sleep peacefully hereon.

As they say, hard work never fails.
