'BAN': Overseas gross is USD 2.5 million for 1 day!

Great India Films has said that 'BAN' grossed USD 2.5 million in one day in the Overseas territory. In rupee terms, it's Rs. 16.25 Cr, with US alone accounting for Rs. 10.15 Cr. This is including gross for premieres.
The film has raked in such huge numbers without promotions and lack of offers. It has done so at reduced ticket rates. We had reduced the rates to encourage viewership, GIF says.
GIF adds that all the three films of Mahesh distributed by it in Overseas market have been blockbusters - 'Athadu', 'Pokiri', and now 'BAN'. Our three last big blockbusters start with 'B' - 'Baahubali-1', 'Baahubali-2' and 'BAN', GIF adds.
