Movie Artists' Association has on Saturday said it fully supports the fight of the people of Andhra Pradesh for special status.  "MAA has always stood with the Telugu people whenever they need it.  As such, we are extending our full support to the fight of the people of AP for special status.  They are fighting by risking their own lives," MAA has said.

In another development, a Joint Action Committee comprising the Secretaries of all 24 crafts has been formed to take care of various issues facing the Telugu film industry, mainly sexual harassment of women. JAC will have decision-making powers, says Supriya, its convenor.

The formation of a Committee Against Sexual Harassment is being looked into.  CASH will comprise of representatives from NGOs.
