The other day, a BBC documentary that allegedly brings out the role of Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots of 2022 was released. It has been banned in India, for the documentary is based on feelings and beliefs, not solid evidence.

On Monday night, a group of students at the famous Hyderabad Central University reportedly organized a screening of the banned documentary titled 'India: The Modi Question' on the university campus. The police have got to know of the breach of the law.

As reported by ANI, the police have said that a probe will be initiated against the organizers on receiving a written complaint. The defiance of the ban is an offence.

The HCU was in the news in 2016 when Rohit Vemula, a student, died by suicide. His suicide became a national issue, and was used to run down the Modi government. If a police probe is launched against the organizers of the documentary, the HCU is likely going to hog headlines yet again.
