Bhadra

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Telugu Comments

Ravi Teja's rise, over the last few years, from an almost nondescript sidekick to a commercially viable hero is one of the major stories of the industry.

Ravi Teja owes his rise to his industriousness and sincerity. He has no pretensions about him. He knows his limitations and plays his roles well within it.

After the success of Venkee last year, he was seen as a long-race horse. But the subsequent failures of Chanti and Naa Autograph has altered the equation some what.

Chanti was a poorly made film while Naa Autograph was a good film, but Ravi Teja as the hero was a poor choice as his image as a mass performer did not gel with essential softness of the character.

In the event, Ravi Teja has been pretty careful in Bhadra. He plays a role that suits him. It is full of robust energy.

The new director Boyapati Srinu says it the film has got its essence right. With a hero like Ravi Teja, we know what to do. In other words, the film will have plenty of songs, fights, comedy and some sentiments thrown in for good measure.

The presence of National award winning Meera Jasmine shows that the film will not be an out and out commercial one. She has a finely etched role, says the director.

The film's audio, with Devi Sri Prasad's music, has the typical beats and rhythms.

Producer Dil Raju has shrewd mind and he says the film has come out satisfactorily.

When he says that, you better believe it.
