Bigg Boss fame Rajith Kumar arrested

As we have reported earlier, thirteen people were arrested in connection with the controversial TV show contestant Rajith Kumar's rousing reception at the Cochin International Airport, where heavy restrictions were imposed in the wake of COVID-19 fear. The Police were in search fo the main accused Rajith, who has been absconding ever since he arrived Kerala.
Now, the latest is that Rajith was arrested on Tuesday evening. The case was registered under sections 143, 147, 149, 188 and 283 of IPC and also charged with violating the High Court's order not to hold demonstrations or march within 500 meters of the airport. Reportedly, Rajith was arrested from his home at Trivandrum and brought back to Aluva Police station, from where he was released on bail within three hours. Thirteen others who were arrested on Monday are also out on bail.
Rajith Kumar is a controversial public speaker, who was a popular contestant in the popular reality show Bigg Boss season 2. Rajith was recently expelled from the reality show for physically attacking a female co-contestant by applying chili on her eyes.
