Lyricist Snehan has been known for writing many hit songs in Tamil cinema, and has also acted in a few movies like 'Yogi', 'Uyarthiru 420' etc. He received the most limelight after participating in the first season of the reality game show 'Bigg Boss Tamil' hosted Kamal Haasan in which he was the runner up.

Ever since Kamal Haasan launched his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam in 2018, Snehan has been an integral member of the party who contested in the Lok Sabha elections of 2019 from Sivaganga, and secured 5th place. He also contested the Tamil Nadu General Elections 2021 from the Virugambakkam constituency but fared poorly.

News has just broken out in Kollywood that Snehan has finally decided to get married and he the bride is one of his relatives. It may be recalled that during the 'Bigg Boss' show he was reunited with his 95 year old father. with whom he was estranged for 18 years. Their tearful and emotional meeting brought tears to the viewers.

Snehan's father then stated that his last wish is to see his son Snehan married and now his wish is going to be fulfilled according to the lyricist's relatives. It is said that once the pandemic situation comes under control the wedding will take place with Kamal Haasan presiding and 'Bigg Boss' and movie stars in attendance.
