As TN people mourn the death of two girl children in Kodungaiyur owing to electrocution in Chennai rains, members of the political fraternity have been visiting the girl’s parents condoling them. Bharatiya Janata party’s senior leader Tamilisai Soundararajan also paid a visit to the grieving family following which she talked with presspersons.

Tamilisai stated that corruption in Tamil Nadu has been on the increase with the government slacking in arranging proper relief measures for the rain affected people. Answering to an accusation that the BJP wasn’t giving as much attention to raise questions on corruption as it did on Vijay’s ‘Mersal’, Tamilisai responded that it was innapropriate to ask her such questions when she had come to condole the grieving parents.

However after the BJP leader left the premises, the reporter who posed the question was surrounded by BJP functionaries taunting him. Fortunately, further untoward incidents were averted with the help of fellow reporters and with the aid of police personnel.
