Himesh Reshammiya makes it a perfect beginning. He has opted for a peppy western beat with a catchy chorus in the beginning. Karthik with a husky voice starts on an interesting note. As the song progresses accompanied by the chorus, it gains more sheen. Pop Shalini chips in with her typical style. Himesh has not opted for many jarring instruments. The song is sure to work wonders among the youths.
Check Check Checkda (Suchitra)
Himesh has a penchant for Arabian folklore music. After a smooth start inspired by Arabian fables theme music, the song gathers momentum. The catchy lyrics in the beginning do the wonder. The westernized way of rendering by Suchitra is a highlight of the song. Thenmozhidass' easy lyrics would reach the music-buffs well. Once again, Himesh goes for the foot-tapping beats.
Oh Nengil Dola (Anuradha Sriram, Tippu)
With Anuradha Sriram and Tippu around, there is no dearth for energy in the song. Himesh starts of with soft guitar accompanied by western beats. Seemingly inspired by Punjabi Bhangra tunes, Himesh has managed to crate a right feel with Anuradha Sriram's soft vocals. However a sense of dejavu prevails in the song.
Va Va Thalaiva (Gayathri)
A cracker of a song in the album. A racy and a peppy number with percussion instruments occupying the centre stage. Himesh's shrewd orchestration comes to the fore. The rhythmic synchronization of the beats gives one an enthusiastic feel. The open-throated voice of Gayathri is a joy to listen to.
Koyambedu Bensu (Mathangi)
It is a raunchy number with Mathangi rendering the vocals. Unlike pacy songs in contemporary Tamil films, Koyambedu Bensu has shades of Bollywood music written all over it. Careful use of instruments and good chorus accompanied by brisk instrumentation helps the song. With vibrant energy written all over it, the song is a delight for music-lovers. Himesh has proved yet again why he is the chosen music-composer in the country.
