Another big film from the challenging star is nothing but a `Sweet overloaded Chariot' for the fans. The length of this film is the only minus point but everything is engaging and entertaining for family audience. The treat for the fans and family audience is like how three best hotels food is served at a time for lunch. A remake of Telugu film `Brindavanam' the Kannada film is quite impressive for the luxurious style of making by producers Suresh Gowdru and Srinivasamurthy. Every shot and scene is colorful and appealing to the eyes. The excess fed is what director Madesh should have discussed in his mind before start of the film. The audience of today in general does not have so much of patience to watch such a lengthy film with an exception to historical films like `Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna'. Krishna alias Kris does not have Sudarshana Chakra in his hand (he is Darshan in the film) but has all the powers on this earth to dismantle. He is capable of hitting at ancient tree and dislodging it. In that case the family problem is like gulping water. How he convinces and brings together the dislodged relationship is very convincing. Like how Lord Krishna encounters volumes of problems and gives justice at his best in this `Brindavana' the modern days Krishna alias Krish gives tough replies despite of locking himself in trouble. He has come to the middle of two big factions families (rules by siblings) to bail Bhumi out from her problems. He is pretending as Bhumi (Karthika) lover on the instructions of his lover Madhu (Milana). Krish one by one settles all issues but he is considered as son in law the tough man - father of Bhumi. On the other side Madhu arrival to the village mount up problem. That is because she had told her father Saikumar that she is in love with a boy in city. That is none other than Krish. Elder brother sends his men for tracing the boy in the city but they come up with parents of Krish. Now Krish is compelled with Madhu and Bhumi to marry. When elders come to know Krish is the common factor they even approve for him to select both. In stunts, dialogue delivery, dance and giving good performance Darshan is in top order. The agile look and height is additional bonus for him to fit in to this kind of social roles. Darshan in the Iceland song and in Naanu Kannadada Kavaliga..gives his best! The selection of heroines should have been better for Darshan in this film `Brindavana'. Karthika and Milana have long way to go to prove their mettle. Doddanna looks grand, Sharat Babu is fit for millionaire father, Sampath Kumar and Saikumar gives good support. For the female supporting characters there is nothing big. Sadhu Kokila and Kuri Pratap like `Uppinakaayi' in food served are good in their roles. V Harikrishna three lilting tunes further uplift the quality of this grand commercial cinema. Kannadada Kavaliga....and Upendra sung song are top class. The level of grandeur is because of Ramesh Babu Cinematography. The selection of costumes, choreography amd locations are additional qualities this `Brindavana' possesses. Brindavanake Hoovanu Maralu Hoguva Baare Bega Sakhi.goes the song of Rashtrakavi Kuvempu.
