'Charlie Chaplin 2' directed by Shakthi Chidambaram is the sequel to the original film that released about a decade ago. Prabhu Deva will be playing the lead role again in the sequel.
Initially the film's team were in talks to cast either Tanya Ravichandran or Nikki Galrani. But after a while the team changed its casting plans. Adah Sharma will be making her entry into Tamil films with 'Charlie Chaplin 2' in which she essays the female lead.
It is also notable that the first edition of the film which starred Prabhu Deva, Prabu, Abirami and Gaythri Raghuram in the lead role was a hit which was later remade in six other regional languages.
Music director Amresh has scored the music for this film which is scheduled to hit the screens next year. The film which is being directed by Sakthi Chidambaram is being bankrolled by T.Siva under the production banner of Amma Creations.
