For the first time we are reporting a Chennai Box Office without a new Tamil movie release due to the Kollywood strike which is into its second week.  As far as the existing films are concerned Sundar C's comedy caper 'Kalakalappu 2'  has achieved super hit status while the global blockbuster 'Black Panther' is holding on well here too.  Deepika Padukone's 'Padmavat' has become the all time biggest Hindi blockbuster at the CBO.  Lets hope the strike is called off soon and the new films lined up bring the much needed cheer to the BO as well as fans.
