Cherry will dance to Thaman's tunes

Thaman has every reason to be happy. After getting the rare opportunity to score for two Mahesh Babu films in quick succession, and belting out tunes for films starring biggies like Nagarjuna (Ragada), Venkatesh (Bodyguard), Ravi Teja (Nippu), Prabhas (Rebel) and Siddharth (Love Failure), the ace musician has bagged Ram Charan's next film, to be directed by VV Vinayak.

Making this announcement on Twitter, he said that he is excited about the project. The film, to be produced by DVV Danaiah, is scheduled to go on the floors in the second half of the year.

Thaman's steady rise in Tollywood is owing to the fresh appeal of his tunes. Year 2011's biggest hits included Champaka Mala from Kandireega and Dookudu. Some commentators have said that Thaman is fast becoming another Devi Sri Prasad, spoken in terms of popularity.

There are mixed views about his music. The young musician, who is all of 26, is going great guns in Tamil, too.
