Megastar Chiranjeevi has condoled the death of Gundu Hanumantha Rao. In a statement released on Monday afternoon, the 'Sye Raa' actor mentioned the late artist's accomplishments in brief.

"Each of the comedians in the Telugu film industry has a distinct style of his own. With his method, Gundu Hanumantha Rao won the hearts of millions of audiences over three decades. I was saddened recently on knowing that his health had badly deteriorated. I had hoped that he will recover and start acting in movies again. I didn't imagine to hear the tragic news of his demise. We have lost not only a good actor but also a nice human being," Chiru said.

It may be recalled that Chiru had donated Rs. 2 lacs towards Gundu's medical expenses only a few weeks back
