Chitralahari Trailer Review: Ticks the right boxes

An ever-failing loser who waits and waits for success, people who humiliate him, a doting father who eggs on him to be patient, and, above all, two girls who seem to add to his pain. That's the trailer for 'Chitralahari' for you.

Starring Sai Dharam Tej in the role of a youngster waiting for 'vijayam' to kiss him, this one is a Kishore Tirumala directorial that seems to have been executed sensibly. If the trailer is anything to go by, the film has got the ingredients of a new-age, minimalist drama that doesn't go overboard with anything. If the Mega hero's look is both brooding and light at once, the heroines (Kalyani Priyadarshan and Nivthe Pethuraj) have a purpose.

Sunil as a stranger (?) who gives the hero a sympathetic ear, Posani Krishna Murali as the father, and Vennela Kishore as an office colleague, complete the show. Brahmaji and Jayaprakash are also seen.

But for the heroines, there is no other noticeable female character in the story.

With music by Devi Sri Prasad, the rom-com and family entertainer has music by Karthik Ghattamaneni. Editing is by Srikar Prasad.
