Speculations about the possible cost at which 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' may have been made were long overdue. More so after the release of the much-acclaimed trailer.

This being Balayya's 100th movie, and a historical shot in a myriad of exotic locations, the budget was always pegged upwards of Rs. 40 cr, the market range of the Nandamuri actor. However, nobody imagined it might have dashed into the half a billion rupee mark.

Yes, it's widely believed that the budget of this Sankranthi release is more than Rs. 50 cr.

The makers must have heaved a sign of relief after the adulation its trailer has received. Going by the public mood, the film is surely in for the biggest openings ever for a Balayya movie.
