COVID 19 - Rest of Tamil Nadu catching up fast with Chennai in high number of cases

The official COVID 19 update has revealed that 2516 new cases have emerged in Tamil Nadu in the past twenty four hours taking up the total number of affected persons to 64,603. Chennai the highest contributor reported 1380 new cases and houses 44,205 overall to date. The death toll now stands at 833 after 39 lost their lives today to the deadly disease.

1227 patients were discharged today taking up the tally of recoveries to 35,339 and 23,921 have been tested today as well. 100+ cases have been reported in Chengalpet, Madurai, Tiruvallur and Thiruvannamalai.

So fare Chennai gave the impression of being the hotspot for coronavirus while there were minimal cases reported in the rest of TN but now the numbers are rising alarmingly all over giving rise to anxiety over whether community spread has started.
