COVID-19: All bars across Kerala will remain closed

The gravity of a massive power shutdown after people started withdrawing into their homes fearing Coronavirus has left the economy suffering! While all the malls, schools, colleges and public places are shut in Kerala, liquor outlets were kept open for revenue.

On Monday, in a high-level meeting chaired by Kerala's Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, it has been decided that all bars across Kerala will remain closed, till further orders. To avoid the flow of illicit liquor, restrictions will be imposed on beverage shops too. Meanwhile, the Kerala High Court will be shut down for two weeks from March 24.

However, during these two weeks of the shutdown, the court will function on Thursdays and Fridays for urgent matters.
