The challenging star Darshan getting his first Karnataka State award politely says he has come to the notice of Buddi Jeevis` – learned people. At the same time he remembers his father Toogudeepa Srinivas at the announcement of this Karnataka state award for 2012 to his performance in Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna`. My father Toogudeepa Srinivas has acted in so many films but not even one award came to his powerful portrayals recalls Darshan.

For those who know the sterling performances of Toogudeepa Srinivas, Darshan was present like his father in the high pitch dialogue delivery of Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna`.

For the 12 years career and 46 films as hero and presently standing atop the box office Darshan dedicate this award to his father and all villains of Kannada cinema.

While Darshan was expecting a few awards for Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna` biggest historical film ever made in Kannada cinema industry, he does not forget the proud producer Anand Appugol. The credit of three awards at the 2012 Karnataka state awards coming to Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna` should go to him says humble Darshan.

Meanwhile challenging star Darshan skipped the Film Fare Award announced to the same film in the last year. He is averse to attending award functions.
