Jeyam Ravi's Deepavali directed by Ezhil is shaping up near Royapuram in a grand manner.

A huge set replicating a fishing hamlet has been put up at a cost of Rs 50 lakh near Royapuram seashore.

A major portion of the movie featuring Jeyam Ravi and Bhavana are being shot here in the grand sets.

Says Ezhil,' All credit should go to producer Lingusamy for allowing us to put up such a huge set at a huge budget. It resembles a village with houses, lanes and roads. I am planning to shot over 60 per cent of the movie here'.

On the movie, he says, ' It is the story of a girl who is being kidnapped by a gang. The hero steps in and rescues her and falls in love with her. Did they get married formed the crux'.

Ezhil, whose recent films took a beating, says, ' Deepavali would be different from his earlier films. But have enough in it to draw audience to theatres. Youngsters like Jeyam Ravi and Bhavana have contributed heir best in the movie'.
