Actor GM Kumar who played many remarkable roles in Tamil movies like Avan Ivan, Thaarai Thapattai and many more is hospitalised in serious condition and is undergoing intensive care.

Kumar debuted in films by directing Sivaji Productions' Aruvadai Naal (1986) with Prabhu in the lead role. The film won good reviews and fetched Kumar several offers to make more films After this, he directed films such as Pickpocket, Irumbu Pookal and Uruvam

GM Kumar fell ill a few days ago. Subsequently, he was admitted to a private hospital in Mughalivakam, Chennai. His wife and actress Pallav is yet to give any official statement regarding the same.
