Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Hindi Comments

Is true love a reality? And even if one finds it, can it be identified instantaneously?
And what if someone lets this true love go? Can it ever be regained? Even if you earnestly call out - 'dil diya hai'?

The 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne' team of producer Balabhai, director Aditya Dutt, composer Himesh Reshammiya, lyricist Sameer and actor Emraan Hahsmi return with their latest offering 'Dil Diya Hai' that again belongs to the genre of a romantic thriller. Shot majorly in UK with remaining portions in India, 'Dil Diya Hai' also stars Ashmit Patel, Mithun Chakravorty and newcomer Geeta Basra.

He could have been just one another happy-go-lucky guy with no problems from the present and no worries about the future. But unfortunately Saahil [Emraan Hashmi] had a different kind of life written for him. A young guy in his 20s, he was settled in U.K. and his business was to provide travel and sight seeing services to the tourists. In normal circumstances any guy could have done quite well for himself but not Saahil.

First and foremost his mother was seriously unwell for quite some time and was hospitalized. Secondly for arranging funds for his business he had taken heavy loans which were unpaid for long. Result? He was in severe cash crunch because on one end he had to bear the expenses of his mother's treatment and on the other his business too seemed to be on shaky grounds and could close down any time.

This left Saahil with no other option than to con his customers in an attempt to make an extra buck or two. He attempts the same with Neha [Geeta Basra] who came with her family to visit U.K. but is caught by her. A vivacious girl, Neha believes in enjoying life to the fullest and also starts falling in love with Saahil.

Destiny brings the two further closes as circumstances force them to spend some more time with each other. While Saahil still tries to maintain a distance from her, for Neha it is no looking back as she gives her heart away to him.

Little did she know that this love for her would throw her in a whirlpool of deceit and mistrust!

Meanwhile condition of Saahil's mother worsens and he is left with no option than to put on stake everything that he had. And when he looses everything close to him, he realizes that he has something more than is right in front of him and belongs completely to him.

Neha!

The girl who loved him with all her heart but was unaware about its consequences!

Some time back Saahil had been approached by a man who gave him a business proposal - Give him young girls and get paid for them! And where did the girls go from here? Straight to 'EROTICA', the biggest a whorehouse in UK that was run by a young man called Kunaal Malik [Ashmit Patel]. A heartless young man whose only purpose of life was to indulge in illegal activities without caring about its consequences on the lives of others, Kunaal had a sophisticated persona but was ruthless from inside.

And Saahil took a decision to sell off Neha to the same Kunaal!

Saahil got the money and saved his mother too but at what expense? The thought starts killing Saahil and gradually he realizes his misdeed. He can't get over the guilt feel and now wants to get back Neha in his life!

But would that be some simple?

Neha on realizing Kunal's true business ridicules him for his inhuman approach. Instead of retaliating and taking an offensive approach, Kunaal starts seeing a change in him. He falls in love with Neha and now wants her to be a part of his life.

Because now he is the one who wants to declare to the world - 'dil diya hai'!

Saahil and Kunaal, both men who had once deceived Neha, now want her t
