Yesterday we had reported actor Vijay Sethupathi raising concern about the sudden announcement of the PM demonetizing Rs.500 and Rs.1000 currency notes and its effect on the people especially those living in rural areas.

Now director Ameer has vehemently criticized the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for implementing this move and also Superstar Rajinikanth who was one among the first celebrities in South India to hail this move by the PM aimed at curbing the black money and fake currency.

Speaking amid a large gathering, Ameer mince no words in criticizing the PM.He said Modi became PM only with the support of Advertisements and Publicity and with by meeting and getting the support of film stars like Rajinikanth and Pawan Kalyan.

Regarding the Superstar hailing the move, Ameer asked "Din't Rajini know for what rate the tickets of his last release 'Kabali' were sold? Is he ready to submit a white paper on the ticket rates and collections made by the film? Weren't the tickets sold way above the rates fixed by the Government would not amount to black money?."
