Director Ponram delivered back to back super hits 'Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam' and 'Rajini Murugan' with Sivakarthikeyan. His most recent film 'MGR Magan' starring Sasikumar and Sathyaraj has gone straight to OTT streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from Diwali.

In a recent interview for the promotions of 'MGR Magan', Ponram has expressed that he is upset with legendary director Mani Ratnam who produced the anthology web series 'Navarasa' for Netflix.

Ponram stated that he made a film for 'Navarasa' with the theme "Comedy" and title 'Town Bus' that starred Gautham Karthik and Robo Shankar in the lead roles but it never made it to the stream. Instead the film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Yogi Babu was added.

Ponram said that Mani Ratnam one of the producers of 'Navarasa' had told him that there was a glitch in the audio and thats why it was ignored. Ponram is apparently not convinced by Mani Ratnam's clarification and also his agreement does not allow him to sell the film to another OTT platform also. He finished off lamenting that he and his entire team are heartbroken due to the issue.
