“There is a great respect for new directors in Tamil cinema”, says director Jayaraj.

The ace Malayalam director is busy giving final touches to his movie 'Silanerangalil', which stars Vincent Asokan, Vineeth and Navya Nair in lead roles.

According to Jayaraj, ‘In Kollywood, every director is given due respect. They get encouraged and their efforts are recognized. Also newcomers are given good opportunities here unlike Malayalam film industry'.

Speaking about 'Silanerangalil', he says, “It is a suspense-thriller drama. The story occurs in two different periods. Navya Nair plays a dual role while Vineeth and Vincent Asokan rock playing the male leads. The highlight of the movie is a song set to tunes by Srikanth Deva. Veteran playback singer P Suseela has sung the song and yesteryear choreographer Thara, who had worked with the likes of MGR and Sivaji Ganesan, has choreographed for the song sequence, he adds. “At Bangkok, we have shot a stunt sequence with Vincent Asokan dressed as Samurai warrior.”

“With all the artistes including Ramesh Khanna, Fathima Babu and Sriman contributing their best, we are hopeful that 'Silanerangalil' would rock Tamil audience”, he says.
