Yesteryear actress Divya Vani, who enjoys the moniker of Bapu Bomma (named after the iconic director Bapu), has today met with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to formalize her joining of TDP.

It may be noted that she had called on the TDP supremo weeks before the Telangana assembly elections. Since then, it has been only a matter of time for the middle-aged woman to join the party.

'Pelli Pustakam', 'Edurinti Mogudu Pakkinti Pellam', and a small role in Chiranjeevi's 'Kondaveeti Donga' are some of her noteworthy movies. Her comeback with 'Radha Gopalam' in 2005 was well noted.

There are rumours that another Vani will also join the party. It's Vani Vishwanath, a noted yesteryear actress.
