DPI general secretary Thol Thirumavalavan has completed shooting for his maiden film Anbu Thozhi. The movie features Thirumavalavan in the role of a revolutionary leader, who fights for the cause of Tamils.

Apparently influenced by LTTE leader Prabhakaran is Thiruma's role in the movie.

Speaking at the completion of the movie's shooting at MGR Film City in Chennai on Wednesday, Thirumavalavan, said, 'it was not my desire to act in films. I came across a story which championed the cause of Tamil. They wanted me to act in it. I readily agreed'.

According to director L G Ravichandar, 'the movie has a couple of stunts featuring Thiruma. He lives for a noble cause and struggles to accomplish it. The movie has valour, humor and romance'.

Planned for a December release, Anbu Thozhi has Preethy Verma playing Thiruma's ladylove. Music is by J K Selvah and cinematography by Chithirai Selvan.
