Dr GK upset, may not take up government work

Noted at the state, national and interval level Padmasri Dr Girish Kasaravalli is upset on his half finished documentary on Vidhana Soudha as the talk of cut on budget for it is heard in the newspapers.

Dr GK submitted a plan on his style of documentary on the occasion of 60 years of Vidhana Soudha building – house of power.

In case the budget is cut in preparing the documentary in my style, I would hand over all my work to government says Dr GK. I am working on this documentary in the last five months. Expensive cameras were pressed in to action, the team has been booked according to the budget, and animation work is new addition. In case the budget is cut, I am answerable to all. The talk now of 60 to 70 percent is a huge setback says Dr GK.

The government of Karnataka on the public voicing the protest for spending on Vidhana Soudha Diamond Jubilee is heard it has been brought down to Rs.10 crores.

As a result of overall cut in the budget the respective programs find drastic fall in budgeting. Dr Girish Kasaravalli, TN Seetharam and Kishan documentaries faces the cut in budget.

Dr GK was allocated Rs.1.2 crores for documentary on Vidhana Soudha is reduced to Rs.40 lakhs.  TN Seetharam direction ‘Karnataka Vidhana Sabha’ six years history was allocated Rs.1.58 lakhs but is brought down to Rs.50 lakhs. There are seven documentaries part of this work he says. He is taking a look at 136 years history.

Guinness record holder Kishan documentary ‘3D virtual reality show’ was placed Rs.1.4 crores is now brought down to Rs.40 lakhs.
