Dulquer and 'Charlie' rakes in Kerala State FIlm Awards

Dulquer Salmaan has bagged the Best Actor Award in the Kerala State Film Award which was announced today. It was a surprising announcement for many as Mammootty, Prithviraj and Jayasurya were touted to be the actors in contention for the award.

It was like a last minute climax twist as Dulquer bagged the coveted award. Dulquer's name was only heard in contention at the last minute. It was for 'Charlie' that the actor won the award. Martin Prakkat too won an award as the Best Director for the film. Unni R. and Martin together was adjudged the Best Scenarist for 'Charlie'. Also the movie's lead actress Parvathy won the Best Actress Award for her performance in 'Charlie' as well as 'Ennu Ninte Moideen'.
